The disrespect toward the Patriots has been loud from opposing team’s fans and national media regarding New England ’s regular-season schedule and its path to Super Bowl 60 .
But to Mike Vrabel , it’s all just outside noise.
“It doesn’t matter,” the Patriots coach said on WEEI . “We’re in the Super Bowl. We can pump this thing up for 10 days. I mean, we’re all compensated very well for what we do. So I don’t think there’s any disrespect from this building, or my appreciation for our football team. It doesn’t bother me.”
All season, the Patriots have heard talk about their schedule being easy. While statistically the 2025 slate was one of the NFL’s easiest, New England just played who it was told.
Cam Newton , in particular, has been vocal about the Patriots’ success, calling it “fool’s gold” on several occasions and noting their path to the Super Bowl has been the easiest in NFL history .
The Patriots took down the Los Angeles Chargers in the AFC Wild Card game before defeating the Houston Texans — who boasted the NFL’s top defense — in the division round. They survived the Denver Broncos in blizzard-like conditions to advance to the Super Bowl, though Denver was forced to start backup quarterback Jarrett Stidham in place of the injured Bo Nix .
The Seattle Seahawks will pose one of, if not the toughest test for New England on Feb. 8 at Levi’s Stadium.
