INDIANAPOLIS — Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson, an expected first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft and potential Pittsburgh Steelers target, will not be working out at the NFL combine this week, according to a report by Dane Brugler of The Athletic.
Tyson has dealt with several injuries over the course of his collegiate career, and he is reportedly still recovering from the last of them, a hamstring injury that hampered him down the stretch run of the 2025 season.
Tyson missed the Sun Devils' games against Houston , Iowa State and West Virginia late last fall with the hamstring ailment, but he did return to play two games against Colorado and rival Arizona.
The injuries are a big part of the story when it comes to Tyson's draft stock. He suffered a major knee injury in 2022, tearing his ACL, MCL and PCL while he was playing with Colorado, before transferring to Arizona State.

In his first year with the Sun Devils, he missed most of 2023, still recovering from the knee injury. In his second season at Arizona State, he missed time late in the season with a collarbone injury.
The injuries — along with an injury to quarterback Sam Leavitt this season — conspired to limit his total collegiate production to 2,282 yards and 22 touchdowns. His best season came in 2024, when he appeared in 12 games and caught 75 passes for 1,101 yards and 10 touchdowns.
His talent level, and physical build at 6-foot-1, 195 pounds, suggests that he should be able to be more productive than that, making him a tantalizing prospect that is high risk and high reward.
Not working out in Indianapolis probably won't help his draft stock, though he will get another shot at the Big 12 pro day.
A drop in his draft stock might be good news for the Steeles, who pick at No. 21 overall. Tyson is currently the No. 10 player on the NFL Mock Draft Database consensus big board.
