While attending the American Century Championship on Wednesday, Curry was asked if he wants James to be his teammate in the 2026-27 campaign. The 38-year-old guard admitted that, for now, he is solely focused on playing golf and will give LeBron James the time he needs to make a final decision. However, Curry did admit he loves the idea of James playing in Golden State.
"I'd say more so I'm interested to just play golf with LeBron [James]," said Curry. "We'll handle the basketball stuff, but I want to see the golf LeBron free agent… we obviously would love to play together. I mean, hopefully it happens. But he's deserved the opportunity and the right to take his time with the decision."

The Warriors have been doing their part in pursuing the four-time MVP throughout the offseason. Just recently, reports revealed that LeBron James and Draymond Green were spending time together at an undisclosed location. It's also been said since James announced he was leaving the Los Angeles Lakers that Curry and Green would attempt to persuade James to sign with Golden State.

While the organization appears to be in the mix for James, the four-time NBA champion has plenty of suitors. Rumors have also linked James to the Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat , just to name a few. But until he makes his final decision, LeBron James is going to enjoy some of his time off this offseason.
