The Minnesota Vikings added about 30 rookies over the last few days, drafting nine players and onboarding the typical haul of undrafted free agents. So, it's time for an updated depth chart.
Minnesota's roster now has clearer battles at quarterback, wide receiver, center, linebacker, and cornerback.
We post an unofficial version of the Vikings ' depth chart about once a month: here it is for late April 2026. The roster will obviously undergo significant change between now and Week 1.
Rookies are in bold font.
Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray (1) stands on the field and looks on as the second quarter winds down against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Sep. 26, 2021, at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville. QB1: Kyler Murray
QB2: J.J. McCarthy
QB3: Carson Wentz
QB4: Max Brosmer
Some think there will be a QB1 camp battle here, but it's really just Murray's job, with McCarthy hoping to stave off Wentz's advances for QB2.
RB1: Aaron Jones
RB2: Jordan Mason
RB3: Demond Claibonre
RB4: Zavier Scott
RB5: Kejon Owens
Minnesota found Claiborne in Round 7 on Saturday, and because of assistant head coach Frank Smith's previous work with De'Von Achane , hopes are high.
FB1: Max Bredeson
The C.J. Ham era is over, and the Vikings tabbed Bredeson for fullback duty, a teammate of McCarthy at Michigan.
WR1: Justin Jefferson
WR2: Jordan Addison
WR3: Tai Felton
WR4: Myles Price
WR5: Jeshaun Jones
WR6: Dontae Fleming
WR7: Joaquin Davis
WR8: Dillon Bell
WR9: Luke Wysong
WR10: Marcus Sanders
WR11: Shaleak Knotts
This room will probably need one more veteran body, unless the coaching staff secretly loves Felton.
TE1: T.J. Hockenson
TE2: Josh Oliver
TE3: Ben Yurosek
TE4: Gavin Bartholomew
TE5: Bryson Nesbit
The TE room underwent absolutely no change in free agency, the draft, or undrafted free agency.
LT1: Christian Darrisaw
LT2: Caleb Tiernan
LT3: Caleb Etienne
LT4: Tristan Leigh
Tiernan is a 4th-Rounder; before the end of his rookie contract in 2029, he'll probably have an impactful role with the Vikings.
RT1: Brian O'Neill
RT2: Ryan Van Demark
RT3: Walter
Rouse
Hopes are for Van Demark, who was stuck as a backup on the Buffalo Bills ' depth chart. If an injury sidelines Darrisaw or O'Neill, he's the next man up.
C1: Blake Brandel
C2: Michael Jurgens
C3: Gavin Gerhardt
C4: Zeke Correll
Cincinnati center Gavin Gerhardt is recognized for his strong play along the offensive line after earning a spot on the Rimington Trophy watch list, an honor highlighting the nation's top centers, during the 2025 preseason buildup in Cincinnati. The award, named after Bengals legend Dave Rimington, reflects Gerhardt's impact and consistency in the trenches. Mandatory Credit: Scott Springer-USA TODAY Network.
Minnesota evidently scouted Gerhardt as their sole center solution from the draft. Interim general manager Rob Brzezinski otherwise passed on Connor Lew, Logan Jones , Jake Slaughter, and Sam Hecht, the draft's "Big Four" at center.
LG1: Donovan Jackson
LG2: Henry Byrd
LG3: Delby Lemieux
Probably the most boring spot on the depth chart, and that's the way it should be.
RG1: Will Fries
RG2: Joe Huber
RG3
: Vershon Lee
RG4: Tomas Rimac
The Vikings need a significant rebound year from Fries, who cost a fortune in 2025 free agency.
OLB1: Andrew Van Ginkel
OLB2: Dallas Turner
OLB3: Bo Richter
OLB4: Tyler Batty
OLB5: Chaz Chambliss
OLB6: Cam'Ron Stewart
OLB7: Jordan Botelho
OLB8: Arden Walker
Jonathan Greenard was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles . This went from the deepest spot on the depth chart to a position where the Vikings need to sign a veteran, like Jadeveon Clowney .
DE1: Jalen Redmond
DE2: Caleb Banks
DE3: Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins
DE4: Elijah Williams
DE5: Monkell Goodwine
*Please Note: Most NFL terminology considers this spot "defensive tackle."
Caleb Banks has All-Pro upside if his foot is good to go.
NT1: Domonique Orange
NT2: Levi Drake Rodriguez
NT3: Taki Taimani
Orange's nicknamed Big Citrus , and he's the first real nose tackle in Minnesota since Dalvin Tomlinson .
MLB1: Eric Wilson
MLB2: Ivan Pace
Jr.
MLB3: Jacob Roberts
MLB4: Scooby Williams
Yes, that guy's name is Scooby. We'll take it.
WLB1: Blake Cashman
WLB2: Jake Golday
WLB3: Josh Ross
WLB4: Keli Lawson
Cincinnati Bearcats linebacker Jake Golday (11) wraps up and attempts to bring down UCF Knights quarterback Cam Fancher (14) during second-half action, Oct. 11, 2025, at Nippert Stadium in Cincinnati. Golday closes in with a firm tackle attempt as both teams battle through a physical stretch of play in a competitive conference matchup. Mandatory Credit: Aaron Doster-Imagn Images.
Golday may not play a ton as a rookie, but by 2027, he should be a part of the starting lineup when Cashman or Wilson departs. Probably Wilson.
CB1: Byron Murphy
Jr.
CB2: Isaiah Rodgers
CB3: James Pierre
CB4: Charles Demmings
CB5: Dwight McGlothern
CB6: Zemaiah Vaughn
CB7: Da'Veawn Armstead
CB8: Marcus Allen
CB9: Tyreek Chappell
If the Vikings re-sign Fabian Moreau for depth, this group suddenly isn't half bad.
S1: Josh Metellus
S2: Jay Ward
S3: Theo Jackson
S4: Jakobe Thomas
S5: Tavierre Thomas
S6: Kahlef Hailassie
Did Harris Smith really retire unceremoniously? What a quiet way to go out, if so.
K1: Will Reichard
That guy above is your All-Pro Vikings kicker. The best in the business, according to voters, even better than Brandon Aubrey in 2025.
P1: Johnny Hekker
P2: Brett Thorson
If existing contracts and lifetime achievement don't influence this summer competition, Thorson will win it.
LS1: Andrew DePaola
Death, taxes, and the Vikings' stability at long snapper.
KR1: Myles Price
Perhaps the Vikings will even use Price on offense in 2026, a novel concept.
PR1: Myles PricePR2: Tai Felton
