The Vikings head into their 2026 training camp with plenty of question marks on their roster, including plenty of players on the bubble, none of whom may be as surprising as Theo Jackson, who started eight games last year after earning a starting safety spot after the 2025 preseason. This year is much different for Jackson as he starts further down the depth chart after an underwhelming stint as a first-teamer saw him get benched for former fourth-round pick Jay Ward. Jackson is hoping to try to compete for the starting free safety spot that is currently open, but it’s just as possible that he slips out of the roster entirely.
