Carr sitting will disappoint fans hoping to watch him penetrate the paint or bury the three. He's executed both skills that got him drafted.
Although some fans will likely view this as load management. The Lakers could cautiously limit Carr and save him for the season opener. All in the name of forming future chemistry with Luka Doncic , Austin Reaves , etc.
Carr already tasted a sudden death game in the league, back on July 6 against the Miami Heat . He dropped 26 points including nailing four 3-pointers to complete the double-overtime win.
"They stepped up big time, especially defensively. I'm trying to learn as much from them as I can, because they're big time, they're big-time on defense, man, on both ends. So, I just got to give them the props," Carr said via Los Angeles Times reporter Thuc Nhi Nguyen.
Meanwhile, Carr's Lakers took a 47-44 lead into halftime with Arthur Kaluma leading the scoring charge with 18 points. Adou Theiro chipped in nine points.
