The Browns need an offensive coordinator for the second year in a row. The process of getting that person hired has already begun.
Ken Dorsey , who was hired a year ago as the second offensive coordinator in Kevin Stefanski's five seasons as head coach, was fired after the Browns' 3-14 season . Dorsey and offensive line coach Andy Dickerson were the only two coaches let go in the immediate aftermath.
Dickerson's replacement has already been hired — former Rice University head coach Mike Bloomgren , who has ties to former Browns line coach Bill Callahan. Dorsey's replacement, however, remains to be named.

New Orleans Saints OC Klint Kubiak interviewing Monday for Browns job
The Browns are interviewing New Orleans Saints offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak on Monday for the open coordinator job, a source confirmed for the Beacon Journal. Cleveland.com's Mary Kay Cabot was the first to report.
This was one of the very first names to come to mind when the position opened. The son of Gary Kubiak, who is essentially Stefanski's mentor and the one whose philosophy he has cribbed from the most, spent last season as the offensive coordinator for the New Orleans Saints.
Saints head coach Dennis Allen was fired midseason. The rest of the staff remains, at least until the new coach is hired.
The younger Kubiak worked with Stefanski twice with the Viking. In 2013-14, he was an offensive quality control coach, while in 2019, he was the quarterbacks coach while Stefanski was the offensive coordinator.
Atlanta Falcons TE coach Kevin Koger, Seattle Seahawks QB coach Charles London to interview Friday
The Browns will conduct a pair of interviews on Friday, a league source tells the Beacon Journal. They will talk with Seattle Seahawks quarterbacks coach Charles London and Atlanta Falcons tight ends coach Kevin Koger.
Koger, a 35-year-old Toledo native, was in his first season with the Falcons. However, his lineage in the NFL coaching ranks is straight from the Sean McVey-Kyle Shanahan tree, working for Matt LaFleur as a offensive quality control coach in 2019-20 before working as tight ends coach with the Los Angeles Chargers in 2021-23 under McVey's former assistant Brandon Staley.
Koger and London, who's interview was reported Thursday, make four official candidates to have interviewed. Browns tight end Tommy Rees and Miami Dolphins quarterbacks coach/pass game coordinator Darrell Bevell have also interviewed.
Miami Dolphins QB coach Darrell Bevell expected to interview with Browns
Darrell Bevell was the Minnesota Vikings ' offensive coordinator in 2006 when Stefanski was hired as an assistant to the head coach with the organization. In 2009, Stefanski was elevated to assistant quarterbacks coach with the Vikings, the first of two seasons he worked directly under Bevell.

Now, Stefanski is reaching out to Bevell to potentially join his staff. Bevell, the Miami Dolphins quarterbacks coach and pass game coordinator, is expected to interview for the vacant offensive coordinator's job in Cleveland.
CBS Sports' Jonathan Jones was the first to report.
Bevell has been well-traveled since he first landed an NFL job as the Green Bay Packers ' assistant quarterbacks coach in 2000. He was with the Packers from 2000-05, first as the assistant quarterbacks coach before spending the final three seasons as the quarterbacks coach for Brett Favre.
The Vikings had him as their offensive coordinator from 2006-10, before he spent 2011-17 with the Seattle Seahawks as their offensive coordinator under head coach Pete Carroll. After a year out of coaching, he returned for a two-year stint as the Detroit Lions ' offensive coordinator that ended with a stint as the interim head coach after Matt Patricia was fired in late November 2020.
Bevell ended up on Urban Meyer's Jacksonville Jaguars ' staff in 2021 as the offensive coordinator. He did his second interim head-coaching stint when Meyer was fired after 13 games.
Bevell has worked with Miami's Tua Tagovailoa since being hired onto Mike McDaniel's staff in 2022.
Seattle Seahawks QB coach Charles London to get interview Friday
The Browns list of potential candidates added one on Thursday as Seattle Seahawks quarterbacks coach Charles London will get an interview on Friday. NFL Network's Tom Pelissero was the first to report.
London is a veteran NFL assistant who has spent most of the last two decades in the league, save for a two-year stint in 2012-13 when he was Penn State's running backs coach. He coached running backs under Bill O'Brien with the Houston Texans (2014-17), as well as under Matt Nagy with the Chicago Bears (2018-20), his second three-year stint in Chicago after a run as offensive quality control coach in 2007-09.
Arthur Smith brought London on in 2021 as his quarterbacks coach with the Atlanta Falcons, a two-year stint. He was Mike Vrabel's quarterbacks coach and pass game coordinator with the Tennessee Titans in 2023, his second stint in Nashville after being an offensive assistant in 2011.
Former Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Mike MacDonald hired London to be his quarterbacks coach when he was hired as the Seahawks' head coach last year. Seattle went 10-7 this season, missing out on the playoff and NFC West title due to a tiebreaker with the Los Angeles Rams , with quarterback Geno Smith throwing for 4,320 yards, the fourth-highest total in the league.
Browns TE coach/pass game specialist Tommy Rees gets 1st interview, but not the last
The first interview of the process went to a rising star inside the organization. Tommy Rees, who spent last season as the Browns' tight ends coach/pass game specialist, received an interview on Wednesday.
A league source tells the Beacon Journal that the Browns still have interviews remaining Thursday and Friday of this week.
Rees' only previous NFL coaching experience before last year was in 2016 as an offensive assistant with the San Diego Chargers. However, his father, Bill, was a long-time NFL scout and personnel director, including a stint with the Browns in 2004-08.
The majority of the 32-year-old's experience has been at the college level, albeit at the biggest stages in the sport. The former Notre Dame quarterback was both quarterbacks coach (2017-19) and offensive coordinator (2020-22) at his alma mater, then spent the 2023 coordinating the offense under Nick Saban at Alabama.
