In a nationally televised game playing one of the best teams in the league and an alien pushing to make his MVP case in his third NBA season, the Warriors had nine available players Wednesday night against the San Antonio Spurs. The Warriors’ starting five featured two players on a two-way contract (LJ Cryer and Nate Williams), a rookie second-round draft pick (Will Richard), plus Draymond Green and Brandin Podziemski. Malevy Leons occupies the Warriors’ third two-way contract and was going to find his way into the game one way or another.
