At Tennessee, Faizon Brandon- Yep who I, and you guys have to help me here because I, I continue to use the words true freshman and redshirt freshman, which don't actually mean anything anymore- Right because the five for five rule.
But Faizon Brandon, the true freshman, beat out George McIntyre, who we used to call the redshirt freshman, but he's now just- Yes a sophomore.
Yes.
And it was, it's, it's sort of the same thing, Godfrey, where the new, the new shiny object- The new hotness.
Yeah.
But- The new hotness came in, Andy but, but also, but in that one it was a little bit different 'cause McIntyre really hadn't played either.
He played be- he was behind Joey Aguilar last season.
It wasn't like he was- Right, right.
No, he did not see significant time.
That quarterback race I really think has defined Tennessee's entire, the fan base's decision-making process on how they're going to look at this season.
There are some schools out there that are, and this isn't really for this segment, but there are some schools out there that might be, from their personnel construction, signaling that they, "Hey, we're all in on 27," or, "Hey, we're-" Mm-hmm "getting to 28," which is a different vibe for college sports.
We could talk about schools like that, like Oklahoma.
Trust the process, baby.

Yeah, yeah, like Oklahoma for instance.
I think Tennessee is trying to create a referendum on, "All right.
We were a playoff team, we weren't.
We had this quarterback saga last off-season cycle.
We did the best with what we could, but now we have to start from scratch, reset our patience, by the way, changing our defensive scheme."
Okay?
So I think that's been the most anxiety-inducing of all of these races that you've listed so far.
Philo is, feels obvious, and it feels like we don't really have to touch on it too much.
He comes- Right.
He followed- with Buster Faulkner the offensive coordinator.
Yeah.
It's just that Tremel Jones, the guy who didn't win the job, happened to really make it a competition, and I don't think they were expecting that.
