Could Boise State pull off a massive upset against Oregon?

Boise State is one of those early sexy favorites to get the Group of 6 bid to the College Football Playoff.
Doesn't, you know, take a whole lot of brain work to realize that they did it two years ago, so why not do it again?
And two years ago-- They take on Oregon this weekend.
Two years ago though, they led Oregon at the half.
Ashton Jeanty had 200 yards on the ground and three touchdowns.
It was a three-point game.
It was incredibly uncomfortable for Oregon.
Now, Ashton Jeanty's no longer wearing a Boise State uniform but how can they do this again?
How can Boise State either play close with Oregon or pull off the massive upset?
Two things.
You mentioned it first of all, Ashton Jeanty's not walking through that door and that takes nothing away from how deep and talented this Boise State team is.
We got a chance to go to fall camp for half of the Pac-12 schools.
Our other USA crew did the other half, during fall camp and they look and feel a little bit different in practice, right?
They just got a little more size, they certainly have more depth and that's where the depth I think is going to be the interesting piece here because although nobody in college football has the depth that the top five, 10 programs can run out there, they are a lot closer than your typical non-Power Four team to being able to hang in there within Oregon in terms of just going down their depth chart and being able to rotate some bodies.
Again, I'm not saying that it's comparable.
I'm just saying the gap is a little bit smaller and although Ashton Jeanty is not walking through the door, they have a really good and deep running game again.
Dylan Riley and Sire Gaines combined for 2,000 yards last year.
They have a Kansas transfer in Harry Stewart who's probably gonna be their third tailback who has quads that look like they're Saquon Barkley's so like they've got some guys.
To me, the blueprint for them is the same as it was then even if the roster looks a little bit different.
It's run the ball the very best that they can, try to control the clock, limit the number of possessions, and then you hope that you get a couple of breaks whether that comes in the form of being plus two or three in the turnover margin, whether you're mixing in a big player too on special teams,- whatever that is.
Eh, the, the answer has to be shorten the game and then find a way to give yourself two extra possessions than Oregon has and maybe put yourself in a position in the fourth quarter and turn the pressure up on them because that's the reality is if you get in the fourth quarter of a game that's tied at Autzen Stadium in this scenario, the pressure all falls on Oregon by that point.
They're the number two team.
They're the heavy favorite.
They've got all these preseason expectations.
