Is Tua gonna start week one for the Falcons in Pittsburgh?
No clue.
Kevin Stefanski isn't saying if it's Tua, or if it's Michael Penix, or I don't know, maybe it's Cooper Rush or the undrafted rookie Jack Strand.
No one is saying.
Ian Cunningham is the GM, though, and he explained today why they kept four QBs.
There's some injury risk, right, with those guys.
Trying to protect against that, there's a little bit of an insurance policy, but there's, also these guys have been productive during the preseason.
And so if you let a guy like Cooper go, there's a potential that he may be able to get an opportunity to go to another team.
If you let a guy like Jack Strand go, he's subject to waivers.
And the way he played, you know, we, like we talk about all the time, draft, develop, retain.
In his case, he was undrafted, but to develop, you know, there's a chance that somebody could have claimed him.
So I think it's about, you know, living in the now, but also living in the future with Jack.
So that, that kind of went into the, the four-quarterback thought process.
