Tua Starts for Falcons Preseason Opener Against Denver
Head Coach Kevin Stefanski has named Tua Tagovailoa as the starting quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons' first preseason game, igniting the Week One QB1 battle.

We got some interesting quarterback battles, I think, coming in, to pre-season.
And one that I'm still laughing at, we were just talking, the Kevin Stefanski, new head coach of the Atlanta Falcons, said, "Yep, Tua is gonna be the starting quarterback, tomorrow for the first pre-season game."
And the next logical question from the press poll was, "Uh, well, is he your week one starter, I'm guessing, right?
Since Penix is not..." And Stefanski gives the old, "Yeah, we're not really ready to name a week one starter yet."
who, who are some of the other names that could be in a 'Cause it won't be Penix, we know that.
So it, it's either Tua or what are we dealing with here?
Who else could it possibly be?
Right now, listed QB three is Cooper Rush for the Falcons- who, he has NFL experience.
He, he's played in NFL games, he's started NFL games.
Yep.
Whether or not y- we think those were good or bad or acceptable or whatever it is, he has some experience.
So, I assume he'll get a good amount of run in that, you know, in that game, for them.
They're playing, Denver, which is always interesting.

That's real interesting.
