Jeremiah Smith Drops to Third in Heisman Odds After Ohio State Falls 30-18 at USC
Ohio State receiver Jeremiah Smith fell from Heisman favorite to third in FanDuel Sportsbook's odds after the Buckeyes lost 30-18 to USC. Smith caught 10 of 12 targets for 83 yards and a touchdown, but much of that came late with Ohio State down three scores, and his 8.3 yards per catch was well below his season average. Luke Fahey, making his debut after Julian Sayin's potentially season-ending injury, was inconsistent throwing downfield and underthrew a possible long Smith touchdown. Miami's Darian Mensah and Malachi Toney moved ahead in the race after a shootout win in Chapel Hill.
