Since 1998, Mar Y Mar has proudly served the San Bruno community with authentic Mexican food inspired by the flavors and traditions of Jalisco, Mexico. Our story began when Jose Antonio opened Mar Y Mar as a small, family-owned fish market. It wasn’t long before we began serving fresh shrimp and octopus cocteles. They quickly became a local favorite, and as word spread, so did our business. Eventually, we expanded into the space next door and transformed Mar Y Mar into the full restaurant it is today. More than 25 years later, Mar Y Mar remains proudly family owned and operated. Today, Jose Antonio’s & his sons carry on their father’s vision, honoring the traditions that built the restaurant while introducing new ideas to keep Mar Y Mar growing for the next generation. Our menu features mariscos, cocteles, tacos, burritos, carne asada, nachos, fish plates, refreshing cocktails, and more. We provide a unique tasting experience for 2 to 2000 in an informal reception style service or a seated educational format since 2002.

Everyday in Celia's we make fresh salsa and guacamole, our tortillas are prepared without lard, our chicken is presented skinless and trimmed, our steak and pork are lean, our tamales are handmade, we serve both refried and whole beans, and last but not least our margaritas do not come out of a machine. Instead our secret mix is made fresh daily.
