A thoughtfully capacious list of French and American wines includes a number of curry-friendly selections and, of course, proper clarets. Rich, eclectic decor, spacious booths, warm lights and hand-carved woodwork -- they just don't make them like the Armitage any more.

The menu at this restaurant is contemporary American, featuring delicious dishes like Denver lamb ribs, dry-aged strip loin and seared octopus.
