Founded in 2004, NW Dance Project is dedicated to the creation and performance of contemporary dance works, with over 370+ Portland-premieres to date. Our company performs unique shows in Portland and tours regionally, nationally, and internationally. We advance dance education, equity, and community engagement through our cost-free Dance Moves arts access programs; ongoing dance training and classes for youth and adults of all levels, abilities, and in a range of dance styles; and special programs for rising, aspiring, and in-transition professional dancers. Most programmatic elements (creation, rehearsals, classes, administration, etc.) occur at our light, spacious, and beautiful NE Portland Creative Center.
Our mission is to educate, inspire and transform dancers of all ages through the study of classical ballet and complementary dance forms. Reshaping the mind and body takes discipline and strength. CBA is dedicated to helping each individual achieve this goal. Offering quality instruction for all ages and levels of dancers in a warm and nurturing environment. We offer youth and pre-professional classes in Ballet, Contemporary, Modern, Jazz and Fusion styles of dance. Annual performance opportunities in full-length productions for all students. Adult Absolute Beginning Ballet and ongoing Open Adult Ballet classes. Summer classes, camps, workshops and intensives for all ages and levels.
Ballet classes and dance camps for children ages 2-6. Classes are taught through play with fun activities and props. French classes offer the added bonus of language learning.

Our mission is to provide a fair, safe, and comfortable teaching environment for our students. We provide a family-oriented environment where each student is encouraged to reach his or her potential by listening and accepting feedback from teachers. Our experienced teachers are committed to providing a quality dance education with a spirit of building self-esteem and self-confidence. The Yeates Academy is registered with The Irish Dancing Commission (An Coimisiun le Rinci Gaelacha), Dublin, Ireland. Students are eligible to compete in local, regional, national and World Championships.
