Known to have withstood the Prohibition period as well as all the wars, Townhouse Bar and Speakeasy has an old world charm that never fades. Its basement housed a speakeasy which served rum and other liquor that was shipped illegally from Vancouver. Townhouse has done much to retain this portion of their bar, which continues to function till today. The bar also continues to fashion its drinks and cocktails after Del Monte's original liquor. If you want to revisit the good old bar days when the liquor business braved Prohibition, visit Townhouse Bar and Speakeasy.
