While the German Oktoberfest is celebrated the world over, there's a whole lot more to German culture than their well-known love of beer. The American German Club at Lake Worth was established in 1967 with the aim of providing the city's German-Americans a place to gather, socialize and uphold their native traditions. The American German Club is housed within a beautiful building that was built by hand by the club's members, in keeping with German tradition. The club continues to thrive even today and lends its support to a variety of charitable undertaking besides organizing social gatherings, concerts, public awareness programs and the annual Oktoberfest celebrations. The club also works towards the preservation of German culture amongst those of German heritage living so far away from their homeland.
The Lake Pavilion located at 101 South Flagler Drive in downtown West Palm Beach is part of the City Commons and Waterfront Promenade area. The Lake Pavilion is a LEED certified, indoor venue with a beautiful terrace surrounding the facility. With floor to ceiling windows offering million dollar views of the Intracoastal Waterway, the Lake Pavilion is a picturesque, affordable setting for your special day. This certified "green" venue, established in 2010, hosts 175 seated or a cocktail reception for 275 with no vendor restrictions. Breathtaking ceremony locations are just steps away, at our sea-scaped docks, lavishly landscaped lawns and intimate trellises. The Lake Pavilion is available for rental during specified periods of time throughout the year. Please check with the City's Community Events division for general availability.
