The Evansville African American Museum was inaugurated on 17th of April, 2007, and is situated at the site where one of America's first housing projects—Lincoln Gardens, was constructed in the year 1938. This museum basically speaks about the people from black community who have resided here since past decades. It showcases the culture, the habits and the condition in which the black community has stayed on for years.
