Making music is fun and learning how to do it should be just as fun! Using a constructivist approach when teaching music creates an enjoyable experience for both the teacher and the student. It is important to create an environment in which educational exploration is promoted for students through the freedom of play.
Music Lab Natomas serves the Natomas, North Sacramento, and surrounding areas for music lessons. We are located off of the Truxel near the Best Buy store. As a brand new location we are still building up our instructor staff list but we plan to offer drum, guitar, bass guitar, piano, voice, violin, ukulele, saxophone, clarinet, flute, and trumpet lessons from the highest quality instructors in the area. What separates the music lab schools from competitors is QUALITY. Many of the instructors that teach at the other locations are educated from schools such as Berklee College of Music, Sac State School of Music, William Jessup University, BYU, etc… Many of our instructors are professional active musicians that are very experienced with both teaching and performing. They are all unique individuals that have their own style of playing and teaching. Check them out in the ‘Instructor’ link above. We will be adding new ones as we build our list of instructors in the coming months. We also take pride in our level of communication with our students as well as their satisfaction with our team. We are committed to giving students opportunities with our recitals, studio tools, and curriculum that is essential in their growth as musicians. Sign up for our waiting list and as soon as we have an opening date and a list of instruments as well as instructors, we will start scheduling free trial lessons. You may also call or email us with any questions you may have at any time.

Finally. A Simpler Way To Learn Piano Simply Music is the remarkable Australian-developed piano program which immerses brand new students in playing mature-sounding pop, blues, classical and accompaniment pieces - with both hands - from the very first lessons. Average results with the Simply Music method are 6 to 8 pieces learned within 10 lessons... That's because, unlike traditional lessons of reading drills and scales, it's a simpler playing-based method. Practice sounds like, well...playing the piano! *Curious? www.simplymusic.com/aboutus *Free Introductions required before sign-up: Wed/Thurs appointments. *Dane Andrus, Senior Associate Instructor. I have a private practice of 50, have taught in private schools, home schoolers, local piano stores, introductory workshops at Belle Cooledge Library, Sierra 2 Center, and the Hart Community Center. Millington Strings’ ensembles have provided professional music services in the greater Sacramento area for years. The group’s repertoire ranges from classical literature to jazz, Latin, traditional and pop, played for all manner of events, including weddings, receptions, banquets, parties, memorials and private concerts. We play as a string duo through string quintet, and can bring in other instrumentalists or singers as desired. Steve Millington, cello, is the group’s founder, and is primarily responsible for the group’s extensive repertoire of unique arrangements. Anne Millington, bass, also manages much of the business of the group, including web presence and music publishing.
