WackoWorld Music

Patient, creative teacher with sense of humor who uses a flexible but well crafted method combined with exploration and invention. Pop, rock, blues, classical, jazz. I've been teaching for over 35 years, still enjoy it, and enjoy sharing what I know about music. Excellent at helping you use your ear and play with intuition. Also understand the challenges of reading music, and can help you get better at it. Lessons are in piano (all levels), drums (beg), ear training, theory, songwriting, and freeway building. I know all styles, am dang good at rock, blues/jazz, classical and use free play and improvisation extensively. Work with lots of young kids, singers who accompany themselves, and people of all ages who are in bands, and I help them hone their chops. I'd say my combination of fun improv with an extensive understanding of music theory, jazz chord voicing technique, and songwriting makes what I do somewhat unique. Spontaneity with excellent mapping. I create and publish many student pieces (over 100). My studio is equipped with many keyboards, drums, guitars and a recording studio. We hold performances in the spring, with a big BBQ and party and the students play with a band, and together. I play bass or drums or keys along with my students, fostering the cooperative and listening part of making music. It's a lot more fun that way. Also highly knowledgeable about synthesizers and programming them.

In Harmony Music

Every child is musical. Given the right learning environment, children can become confident music-makers and well-balanced individuals. The participation of parents and caregivers is a crucial part of this process. That's why, when music educator and mom Justine Chadly saw a need for family music classes in her community, she decided to fill it. With a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Music Education and a passion for sharing the benefits of music, Justine started In Harmony Music. Our Sacramento St. location is home to music classes and events led by a group of highly credentialed and experienced teachers. We focus on participation- and play-based learning, methods proven to be the best avenues for children to develop musically, emotionally, socially, and cognitively. We love nurturing kids' creativity while bringing playfulness back to their parents and caregivers. After all, building a strong community starts with nurturing its youngest members. We're dedicated to doing both..
