Dr. Kim strives to instruct her students on artistic playing, musical interpretation, technical proficiency and performance skills, all leading to the enjoyment of playing the piano and developing a lifelong appreciation for music. Additionally, Dr. Kim will guide her students to develop proper technique, good practice habits, problem solving skills, knowledge in music theory and history, and sight-reading and aural skills. Students will gain more confidence and independence by learning to express their own thoughts and emotions through the interpretation of a musical work. The curriculum and repertoire may be designed according to each student’s individual needs, interests, potential and learning styles. Repertoire can range from Classical to Pop, Jazz or Religious music. Music Theory, Music History, and Lead Sheet reading lessons are also available. Dr. Kim is a RCM Certified Teacher and a STEINWAY Teacher & Educational Partner.

School of Rock Snellville provides both in-person and online music lessons for students of all ages. Our programs, camps and workshops for toddlers, kids, teens and adults make learning to play music fun and create great communities of musicians.
