The Music Studio offers a comprehensive music education starting from age 4. Our celebrated curriculum capitalizes on every child's innate love for music and passion for learning. Through four years of challenging and engaging group lessons to private piano lessons with our highly experienced faculty, our students learn to make, read, understand, and appreciate music. They develop skills and knowledge they can turn to other instruments, and they learn to play the piano with joy and accuracy. We also offer short-term music classes for very young children and group piano lessons for adults. Whatever the age of our students, our teachers expertly guide them to new levels of musical understanding and proficiency. Pianist, guitarist, organist, vocalist, and composer Malcolm Moran has been performing and teaching in the Capital Region since 2015 . A native of Schenectady, Mr. Moran earned an Associates Degree in Music Performance as a guitarist from SUNY Schenectady, a B.A in Music as a pianist from the College of Saint Rose, and a M.M in Music performance from Kent State University. A highly sought out accompanist, Mr. Moran has performed at many venues and events in the area. Additionally, he has performed extensively as a recitalist in the area. In 2021 Mr Moran was the winner of the annual organ scholarship from the Eastern New York chapter of the American Guild of Organist when he studied organ with Neil Keen F.A.G.O. Mr Moran has been singing as a member of Saint Peter's Episcopal Church Choir in Albany since 1997.

We also carry any accessories your young beginning musician may need for their band/orchestra lessons (clarinet reeds, cork grease, lesson books, violin strings, and much more!). We have School Representatives that visit local schools weekly to deliver instruments and supplies to save you time and money! Our Rental program is lease-to-own, so as long as you are renting you can build equity towards a purchase. We also sell Ukuleles, Guitars, Amps and Drums.
