Our Ashland's motto is "Building Character One STEP at a Time," and our mission is to support that motto in all we do! Our Ashland's Family strives to provide our dancers tools that will carry them through life and into a world beyond our studio doors that isn't always so kind. The Julia Rogers Theater is home to the Symphony of Southeast Texas, the Beaumont Civic Opera, the Beaumont Civic Ballet and the Beaumont Ballet Theater. The theater, which opened in 1982, is designed to host any event such as concerts, theatrical productions, dance presentations, lectures and large conference meetings. The stage boasts a magnificent fifty-foot proscenium, a hydraulic orchestra pit, and a state-of-the-art sound and lighting system. Diamond chandeliers decorate the ceilings of the theater's lobby where guests can enjoy intermissions at the cocktail bar and lounge area.
The Stark Museum of Art is the vision of H.J. Lutcher and Nelda C. Stark. Opened in 1978, it is among the best repositories in the country featuring Western American art from the 19th and 20th Centuries. Its impressive collection includes Western, Decorative and American Indian art and rare manuscripts. Check the dramatic landscapes, wildlife, sculptures, prints, objects and pottery. Stroll through the five galleries that house the works of artists like Charles Marion Russell, John James Audubon, Georgia O’Keeffe and Frederic Remington. You can buy posters and books from their on-site store as well.
