The Master's Carving School was founded in 1976, by James Ploegman, Master Carver. He taught woodcarving classes for over 50 years. It currently is run by Shannon Finch (Expert Carver with over 25 years experience), as the instructor, and Jim Ploegman, the founder's protégé, with over 30 years experience in carving and woodworking. The lessons of drawing and painting are designed for beginners and for those who already have some drawing skills. My students include those who need painting skills for work, those who are preparing for art school, or students who need help with homework. These classes are designed to give a basic knowledge of academic drawing and academic painting. The program is built on the principle "from simple - to difficult".
