Poppy Cake Baking Company opened in 2013 and became the local go-to spot for homemade bread and pastries. Giving back to the community is one of the top goals, so we use local ingredients and bake everything daily in-house. When you walk in, you'll be greeted by the aroma of freshly baked bread and a friendly smile. You'll leave with a fresh-made sandwich, hot drip coffee, and your return trip already planned.

Kitchen Mouse started almost 4 years ago as a small catering business in owner Erica Daking's home kitchen, cooking for friends and private dinners. Soon, word got out of Erica's modern spin of gluten free, vegan food that not only invited the health conscious to enjoy, but everyone else too. Her plant-based, farmer's market food booms with California flavor and drew such a crowd that it grew out of her house and into something much bigger. Kitchen Mouse Cafe opened up its doors in May of 2014 in Highland Park. In 2016, we are still catering and continuing to expand. Kitchen Mouse has been featured in goop, Self Magazine, Eater, LA Weekly, & more.

Takeshi Takata founded Gram Cafe & Pancakes in December 2014 in Osaka, Japan. In less than five years, gram has opened over 60 outlets all over Japan, Thailand and Hong Kong, with additional cafes opening in Singapore, Indonesia, Australia and Canada. gram San Francisco is the first outpost in the United States.
