La Posada De Santa Fe, A Tribute Portfolio Resort & Spa

This property was known as the Staab Mansion until it was converted into a hotel. Even though the inn is located in downtown Santa Fe, it sits on a vast area of land where you can enjoy a number of private strolls. The decor at La Posada de Santa Fe is a mix of Spanish Colonial and pueblo-style, with bright colors, handcrafted furniture and kiva fireplaces. Each guest room is uniquely decorated and equipped with a coffee maker, refrigerator and cable television. Head to the hotel roof and relax on the patio at the juice bar, or let yourself be pampered at the Spa.

Schlotzsky's

A local favorite for hot soups, freshly baked breads and specialty sandwiches, Schlotzsky's is one of the most definitive fast food-style restaurants in the city. People throng here during the former part of the day for their Original Sandwich, a culinary masterpiece perfected with lean smoked ham, melted cheddar and Parmesan, salamis, red onion and mustard dressings - all sandwiched between freshly toasted Sourdough buns. Other popular varieties include the turkey Original-style, Fiesta Chicken and Albuquerque turkey. Schlotzsky's also serves oven-baked pastas, pizzas and salads.

Tomasita's

Located right next to the old railroad depot, this restaurant has been a local favorite for many years. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the patio is a great place to dine when the weather is warm. Both the food and the margaritas served at Tomasita's Santa Fe Restaurant have won acclaim. Locals will tell you that if you're searching for a great red or green chile, stop your search here. The Chile Rellenos, green chiles stuffed with cheese, dipped in batter and deep-fried, are fabulous. The restaurant does not accept reservations, but you can always enjoy a Margarita at the bar while you wait.
