The Texas Classroom Teachers Association has been one of the leading teacher associations in Texas since its inception in 1927. With around 50,000 members statewide, it is a nonprofit, nonunion professional association for educators. Based in Austin, Texas, the association represents Texas teacher's varied issues at the federal and state levels. The Texas Classroom Teachers Association offers a list of services, which includes video workshops, advocacy as well as professional protection, to name a few.
The Texas Association for the Gifted and Talented (TAGT) connects and empowers educators and parents to meet the unique needs of gifted and talented individuals through awareness, advocacy and action. TAGT offers a number of live and online learning options for parents and educators, as well as recognition of excellence with scholarships and awards.

Recognizing that the primary responsibility of the Texas Association of School Business Officials is to its individual members, the Association believes that the development of a strong unified profession of school business administrators requires that there be established a basis of affiliation between the Texas Association of School Business Officials and regional and local groups now in existence or to be organized in the future. Currently there are 30 active TASBO affiliate groups. Being a member of an Affiliate does not constitute membership in TASBO. Affiliate membership and TASBO membership are two entirely different memberships. Listed below are the Affiliates, Affiliate presidents and telephone numbers, and the TASBO board of director liaison to that particular Affiliate.
