Established in 1968, Junipero Serra Elementary School serves students in kindergarten through grade five. The school offers subjects, such as mathematics and English. Its sports activities include soccer, hockey, football, basketball, softball, kickball, volleyball, and track and field. Junipero Serra Elementary School also provides special education and support services through a resource specialist, speech and language therapist, psychologist and paraprofessionals. It additionally employs a health aide, nurse and custodians and operates a parent-teacher association. The school operates a student council and offers gifted and talented education programs. It maintains a library that features more than 12,000 books. Junipero Serra Elementary School is a part of the Ventura Unified School District and is located in Ventura, Calif.
Montalvo Arts Academy is a unique campus for many reasons.
