The staff at Juanamaria School have developed a child-oriented educational philosophy. Our goal is to make a positive impact on the behavior, academic achievement, and social development of our students. Our educational program provides a meaningful well-rounded experience for all children. The Juanamaria staff are professional people who are proud to work at a California Distinguished School. They are willing to give their time and talents to educate our students. This year we will continue to implement positive character development. The Juanamaria staff has been leaders in this because it has always been an important part of our child oriented philosophy. With parents, the community, and district teamwork, the character development component has become very strongly integrated into daily life at Juanamaria. We all will continue to work with children in such a way to guide them to their maximum academic, social, and emotional development. We welcome you, the parents and students of Juanamaria, into a partnership with the staff dedicated to excellence, commitment, and pride.
For more than 50 years Ventura Montessori School has provided authentic Association Montessori International ( AMI) academic programs to children from the time they are potty trained through age six. We also offer onsite before and after school programs. Dedicated teachers are the greatest asset any school can have, and Ventura Montessori School's teachers bring unprecedented levels of experience and dedication. Our student to teacher ratio never exceeds 10:1, allowing us to offer your child an individualized academic experience in a calm atmosphere. Through the Montessori Method children develop the internal motivation to continue their quest of learning and mastery of their world. Teachers guide children in the correct use of each material, then allow children the freedom to work at their own pace. In this manner children come to master the concepts which support further learning and understanding.
