The Saline County Career Center is an educational institution that offers career development opportunities to students. It is located in Marshall, Mo., and provides practical nursing programs. The institute features a business computer technology program through which students learn computer skills using word processing and spreadsheet applications. The Saline County Career Center also provides career-oriented programs in business applications, office technology, culinary arts and computer networking. In addition to classroom education, the institute offers on-the-job training opportunities to students. The Saline County Career Center features programs in agriculture, health services and automobile mechanics. It additionally offers marketing education and construction trade programs. The institution is a part of the Marshall Public School District, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools.
Founded in 1957, Central Christian College of the Bible provides religious and academic education programs and is located in Moberly, Mo. It offers bachelor degrees in the areas of Christian counseling, music ministry, Christian education, biblical research, general ministry, youth and family ministry and cross-cultural ministry. The college also offers courses in administration of justice, business information systems, general business, management, marketing, accounting, recreation management and human services. In addition, it conducts classes in instrumental performance, liberal studies, mathematics, nursing, organizational management and sociology. The college organizes a range of sporting activities that include basketball, soccer and volleyball. Central Christian College of the Bible is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of the Association for Biblical Higher Education.
