We are a play-based, Reggio inspired school. We serve children 2 years, 9 months until they go to Kindergarten in a multi-age, collaborative environment.
We follow a play-based philosophy. Children learn social, cognitive, and emotional skills through new experiences, friends, and books. Our educators work to foster curiosity. We encourage children to experiment to solve problems and ask lots of questions. Plus, we make learning fun, ensuring our school to be the best preschool for all in Berkeley.
Nia House Learning center is a non-profit Montessori school. We specialize in providing full-day education for children between the ages of 18 months and 6 years. Our goal is to provide a warm, encouraging and prepared environment for our young students to grow and learn together. We offer freedom within reasonable limits to all children, allowing them opportunities for self-discovery and the development of great self-esteem. Nia House provides a mixed age learning environment where the youngest children are inspired by the older children and the oldest children become community leaders and teachers for the younger children.
