Laying the academic foundations for success!
Head Start/Early Head Start provides high quality early education and support services for eligible children 0-5 and pregnant women, and their families. Children engage in activities for early learning, and build strong foundations for literacy, math, and success in school. Families are encouraged and supported as leaders, and get connected with resources to help them achieve their goals. Eligibility: Children and families are eligible if they meet one of the following criteria: income-eligible, receiving public assistance (CalWORKS or SSI), child is in foster care, or the family is experiencing homelessness. Children with disabilities are encouraged to apply. Income requirements may be waived (up to 10% of enrollment) for children with disabilities.
