Typically our parents have chosen our program because we are small enough to be able to maintain close relationships with each family but still provide the structure and care that prepares each child to succeed in the next phase of their education.
Our integrated arts preschool offers a fun engaging curriculum. We offer weekly Suzuki music instruction, individual piano and violin lessons and Mandarin and Sports classes.
The Kendall School (est. in 1931) mission is to provide a nurturing, creative and enriching experience for pre-school age children that encourages positive self-esteem and the eagerness to learn. It also provides an opportunity for children to form strong and supportive relationships with children and adults outside of the home. The Kendall School creates an inclusive environment that encourages childrens natural curiosity while equipping them with the skills and confidence needed to embrace the transition into Kindergarten. Our program philosophy is guided by the principles of Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP). We work toward fostering the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive needs of children by offering both child directed and teacher directed activities. Curiosity, exploration, and sharing are nurtured and encouraged. The Kendall School does not discriminate in providing services to children and their families on the basis of race, religion, cultural heritage, political beliefs, national origin, disabilities, marital status, gender identity or sexual orientation
We are a cooperative preschool where whole families learn and grow in a caring and supportive environment. We offer a rich curriculum for children from age 2.9 to 5, separated into three age appropriate classes. Our dedicated Pre-K class, for the 4.9's and those with late summer birthdays who aren't quite kindergarten ready, is a highly regarded program helping students to develop both socially and academically in preparation for the move to elementary school. The cooperative nature of the school allows parents a unique opportunity to be closely involved in the early education of their child and helps the school to be a true community.
