The Center at Eagle Hill is a state-of-the-art facility for performing arts and a cultural hub of central Massachusetts. It includes two theaters, a music room, recording studio, art galleries, visual art studios, workshop and a function hall. Designed by architect Robert Hill, the historic opera house was built in the year 1884, and has served as a cultural center for the residents of Thomaston. Till the year 1930, it was a popular venue for theatrical performances and social events and was later converted into a movie house (the Paramount theater). Over the past century, it closed and reopened several times, until recently in 2011 it reopened as a Live Concert Venue and Outdoor theater.
