Highland Christian School was founded in 1968. Highland Christian School provides a beginning learning experience in a Christan environment where every child is loved, respected, and valued for his/her uniqueness. We seek to provide a balanced curriculum that focuses on the physical, emotional, spiritual, and intellectual needs of the young child. Here are our goals as an instutition of early education: To provide a beginning learning experience in a Christian environment where each child is loved, respected and valued. To instill in each child a love of God, and respect for each other. To guide independence from everyday situations and experiences. To lay a strong foundation for kindergarten readiness. To help each child establish socialization skills.

Birch Tree offers two programs for families to choose from. The Russian bilingual program immerses children into both Russian and English with two teachers- one native Russian and one native English speaker, much like a bilingual household. This type of full immersion is the most effective way to learn a language and children show almost immediate results. If you are not interested in the Russian program, we also offer English only instruction at our Lake Hills location.
We are a family owned, faith-based, in-home preschool. We put our children's interests at the forefront of learning and our curriculum is heavily influenced by their curiosity. We provide a balance of activities and free play. We love our outside time and will take our curriculum outdoors during the warmer months. We provide organic, freshly prepared, home meals. Every child that joins becomes a part of our preschool family.
