Learn · Connect · Play · Explore! At JRM Preschool we engage children in experiential learning enriched by Jewish values, while connecting families within the warm embrace of a Reform synagogue community. We offer care for infants through pre-Kindergarten, including part-day and full time programs, and parent/child classes. Though we are a Jewish preschool, we welcome families from all traditions. We look forward to welcoming your family to your new home away from home!
We are a preschool for ages 3 - 5. We offer a play-based curriculum where our teachers provide lots of great learning activities each day that support all areas of children's development (math and literacy, fine motor, gross motor, music, pretend play, social skills and more). Children decide which activities to explore and they are fully engaged in all the learning that activity has to offer because they chose it! We are a cooperative preschool, which means our parents each work in the classroom a few days a month and support the preschool by taking on a job like class photographer, play-dough maker or registrar. This helps keep our tuition costs low - lower than most other preschools, and our class ratios high - 1 adult per 4 kids versus other preschools that may have a 1:8 or 1:10 ratio. Having lots of caring supportive adults in the classroom, including our excellent teachers, assures plenty of individualized support for each child's learning. We are a part of the Bellevue College Parent Education program, which means parents attend a monthly discussion which offers a college level course on child development and parenting skills.
Little Scholars International Preschool is a place where children learn Mandarin naturally in a loving, safe, healthy, and fun environment. Our program provides a learning environment in which children become independent, joyful, respectful learners. We embrace the idea that children learn best through play and hands on activities and offer age appropriate educational experiences for them to achieve optimal growth. At Little Scholars, we respect that every child is different; we nurture, educate and celebrate each child's culture, belief system and values. Little Scholars is an immersion-based program for children from birth to 5 years old. We have found the most effective way to teach Mandarin as a world language is for our teachers and caregivers to use it exclusively throughout day...Our goal is simple: create an environment in which Mandarin is fun to learn as well as encourage children to continue learning it as a lifelong pursuit. Since the Little Scholars program is home based, children are in a comfortable and safe environment. We provide healthy, organic meals and snacks for children ages 2 and beyond. The small size (1:6) of the school provides intensive individualized attention and instruction.
Birch Tree offers two programs for families to choose from. The Russian bilingual program immerses children into both Russian and English with two teachers- one native Russian and one native English speaker, much like a bilingual household. This type of full immersion is the most effective way to learn a language and children show almost immediate results. If you are not interested in the Russian program, we also offer English only instruction at our Lake Hills location.
