The LGBTQ Youth Space is a safe and confidential space for 13-25 year old LGBTQIA people. Our space is filled with tons of cool people from every background, including young leaders, artists, students, teenagers, volunteers, young adults, allies, chill staff, trans* folks, activists & people looking for support. Our drop-in space offers support groups, dances, activism & leadership opportunities, video games, free snacks & safe sex supplies, open mic nights, barbecues, and more. Teen Challenge puts hope within reach of the entire family. If you want freedom from the pain of drug addiction, substance abuse, or life-controlling problems, we can help! The program provides holistic care that includes, but is not limited to, mentoring, education, character building, life and social skills, and spiritual guidance. Helping individuals and families live a hope-filled life and purposeful life, free of life-controlling issues is our goal. The length of the program, usually 12 - 18 months, gives individuals the time needed to gain practical skills to live a meaningful, addictive-free life and to grow emotionally and spiritually. This, along with the faith-based curriculum and holistic care are reasons for the success of the program. The Asbury Family Center, located in San Jose, CA, is one of the only family recovery centers in the United States. Families can receive the help and healing they need while staying together as a family. As addiction, abuse, and trauma increase in family settings, the need for recovery has as well. We believe in families and want to see them get better together. There are thirteen apartments in the complex. Children and their parents are able to rebuild and learn how to live without life-controlling issues in a supportive and encouraging atmosphere.
