Faith Community Lutheran Church is a Christ-centered community in Las Vegas, Nevada right in the heart of Summerlin. Each first day of the week we will also participate in the Lord's Supper to remember the great price He paid for our salvation! Victory in Jesus as the Way, the Truth, and the Life will be proclaimed and taught from the Scriptures. In a relationship with Him we can overcome the areas of our lives that we don't even like and can find wisdom and answers about living life to the full!! As a small, diverse, and service driven Parish, our parishioners can be found on many walks of life. We have many activities that include Clergy, lay ministers, Christian Educators, Music service, Community service, participation at the Diocesan level, and recently added a Hispanic ministry to our Parish. Established in 1942, Little Church Of The West is the oldest wedding chapel in Las Vegas as well as the oldest building on the Strip. It is also perhaps the most charming, with a romantically rustic wooden construction. The list of famous celebrities who have been married here is extensive. It began with Betty Grable and Harry James, Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward, and more recently Cindy Crawford and Richard Gere. Even Elvis and Ann Margaret tied the knot on the silver screen here in the final scene from Viva Las Vegas. In 1992, the National Register of Historic Places placed it on its list in 1992.
You may have seen this wedding location before as it is featured in several movies including Vegas Vacation, Honeymoon in Vegas and Indecent Proposal. The little chapel provides a full range of weddings from small to ornate. Seating is limited to perhaps 25 people. Couples can exchange vows in the chapel or enjoy a garden wedding. Services offered includes videos, organist, flowers, rings, photos, limousine, even the tuxedo or gown.
