Alameda County Sheriff's Office is a part of the government of Alameda County in California, which also operates planning, probation and information technology departments. We work with the residents of San Francisco to ensure that short-term rental activity respects neighborhood character, preserves housing supply, and complies with the City's rules. Our Office is responsible for registering eligible hosts and for administering enforcement of the City's short-term rental regulations. Please note that walk-in hours are available (without appointment) from 1 PM to 4 PM on Wednesdays (at 1660 Mission Street, 5th Floor, Station 39).
