The Engineering Division is a part of the City of Livermore in California, which spreads across an area of more than 22 square miles and has a population of over 80,600 people. Founded in 1990, the Application and Permit Center is responsible for the coordination of information systems. It processes more than 10,000 permits annually and responds to over 150 calls per day. The county maintains agriculture, human resources and community services departments. It also operates information technology, public works, and health and veterans services departments. The county s health services department serves nearly 640,000 patients annually. Its public works department is responsible for the construction and maintenance of county-owned infrastructure.
