The Roads and Bridges department is responsible for mowing grasses and weeds, as well as preparing roads for paving. In addition, the department provides maintenance and installation solutions for road and bridge signs. It works with more than 400 businesses and industries to prepare its clients for the workplace. The department provides education regarding skills and behaviors and performs contract work for local businesses. The South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation Department is comprised of more than five members. It offers referrals for vocational rehabilitation services to high schools, colleges, universities, physicians and hospitals, alcohol and drug treatment organizations, private rehabilitation facilities and vendors of artificial appliances and prosthetic devices.
