Established in 2000, the California Department of Child Support Services provides a variety of child care programs. It offers financial assistance and medical care services for children and their families. The department operates more than 50 child support agencies throughout California. It works with parents and custodial and noncustodial guardians. The California Department of Child Support Services maintains a presence in Alameda, Calaveras, El Dorado, San Mateo, Tuolumne, Humboldt, Madera, Los Angeles, Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties in California.
