La Montañita Co-op is New Mexico’s largest community-owned food market and is one of only two food Cooperatives in the United States that owns its own full-service Distribution Center. Operating since 1976, we offer fresh, local and organic produce, local grass-fed beef and other meats, cheeses, bulk foods, fair trade products, a wide variety of natural and organic groceries, freshly prepared deli foods, body and beauty products and a wellness department. We are a leader in the local foods movement, carrying over 1,000 local products from over 200 local producers and delivering statewide through our Cooperative Distribution Center We know the farmers! We partner with our community farmers, ranchers and other creative folks to know how they grow their food, treat their animals and produce their goods before bringing it to you! Any Kiddos shopping with an adult can munch on a FREE piece of hand-held fruit while cruising our aisles.
