I am a therapist by training with a master's degree in marriage and family therapy. In some form, most people come to therapy wanting help with their relationships. Frequently, traditional psychotherapy is not what is needed and for many, this simply does not feel like the right fit. For those who are considering marriage therapy or couples counseling in the Seattle area, consider a coaching approach that focuses on improving your communication and how you relate to each other, rather than what might be wrong with your mental health, I offer a solid coaching approach. We will explore what is not working in the relationship and find solutions to create more of what you want in your relationship and how to communicate this to your partner in a way that leads to greater connection and satisfaction. In my experience, a great deal of difficulty is created and sustained by poor communication. Often, it is compounded by a lack of clarity about what is driving unproductive and unsatisfying interactions. When problems are met with new understanding and communication is clear and respectful, resolution and connections come into focus. Currently, all sessions are held online via a HIPPA compliant telehealth platform.
