Owned by two local brothers, Hometown Creamery was the first ice cream shop in San Francisco to make small batch ice cream completely from scratch, on-site! Steps away from Golden Gate Park, the original location on 9th and Irving in the Inner Sunset is where all of of the ice cream and desserts are made from scratch. It houses the dairy plant where we pasteurize and churn our ice cream and the kitchen where we bake and prep all of our confections and mix-ins. It is a warm and inviting place that pleases all of the senses! Neighborhood murals (painted by owner and chef, Saadi Halil) adorn the space and an aroma of freshly baked cookies, brownies and waffle cones steadily whirls through the air.
