Located along Wisconsin’s Great River Road in the heart of Fountain City, The Corner Store is home to a beautifully restored 1926 soda fountain and gift shop. Originally installed in a neighborhood drugstore, the historic fountain recently celebrated 100 years of soda fountain service and remains a gathering place for locals and travelers seeking an authentic small river town experience. Guests can enjoy signature Fountain Floats, an old-fashioned combination of premium ice cream and house-crafted sodas that helped define the American soda fountain tradition. The shop also serves espresso drinks, ice cream treats, classic fountain favorites, hot chocolates, seasonal specialties, and a carefully curated collection of local gifts, greeting cards, apparel, and regional goods inspired by life along the Mississippi River. The Corner Store offers a nostalgic destination where history, hospitality, and a little something sweet come together.

We specialize in old fashioned, high quality candies and chocolates. Home of Brian's Endangered Turtles in 16 different varieties! The Chocolate Escape has a full espresso bar, ice cream bar, imported chocolates, and a great variety of gifts as well as Native American Sterling Silver and Turquoise jewelry. For groups (buses are welcome), we offer a variety of options: We do education tours with our 70 foot long "The Origins of Chocolate" wall mural. By appointment we will do FREE educational tours for Senior learning groups, and organized school groups. Also, by reservation for groups, we do chocolate tastings or wine and chocolate pairings along with the educational aspect and use of the mural. These are offered by reservation only, and for a minimal fee. We donated our basement to River Junctions Art Council (www,rjac.org) for use as an art gallery when shows are scheduled.
