David is the founder and President of TowneBank Commercial Mortgage. He joined TowneBank in 2001 and has more than three decades of mortgage banking and brokerage experience. David is primarily responsible for financing all asset classes of income property real estate and providing access to capital markets for non-recourse financing. Under David's leadership, over $1.5 billion in commercial income property mortgages have been funded through numerous capital market sources. David has a BA in Economics from Georgetown University and an MBA from the University of Virginia's Darden Graduate School of Business. He is also a licensed real estate agent. Active in his community, David serves as Vice Chair for the City of Norfolk Convention and Visitors Bureau. A former Naval Officer, he is also an active fund-raiser for both the Darden and Georgetown University alumni associations. Alex Raney is a Private Wealth Advisor with Towne Trust Company. Lynn joined the TowneBank family in 2003 and is a lifelong Norfolk resident. She has over 30 years of banking experience. Lynn graduated from Tidewater Community College.
Leila has been a member of the Towne Family since 2010 and brings more than a decade of industry experience. Leila assists members in the successful completion of an IRC Section 1031 tax-deferred exchange, including coordinating with attorneys, preparing necessary exchange documentation, holding and protecting exchange proceeds, and providing guidance, information, and timelines through the entire 1031 exchange process. In June 2023, Leila earned her designation as a Certified Exchange Specialist (CES), which is a voluntary certification offered through the Federation of Exchange Accommodators (FEA) and designed specifically for 1031 tax deferred exchange professionals. Leila received her BS in Occupational and Technical Studies from Old Dominion University. She is also a graduate of the Chamber of Commerce's LEAD Hampton Roads program and the TowneBank Leadership Exploration and Development Program. Active in her community, Leila serves as Vice Chair for the Virginia Beach SPCA.
