John joined TowneBank in 2013 and is a Commercial Banking Officer who works alongside operating companies in contracting, transportation, hospitality, manufacturing, healthcare, real estate, and maritime industries. John holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Business from the Virginia Military Institute and is a Certified Treasury Professional. He is active in the community serving as treasurer for the Elizabeth River Trail Foundation, as board member for Maison Fortune Orphanage Foundation, Maury Foundation, CHKD Ronald McDonald House Charities and the Downtown Norfolk Council. Jeff offers over 30 years of financial industry experience. As a commercial banking officer, he fosters and grows relationships with local commercial real estate investors and developers. He primarily focuses on office, retail, industrial warehouse, self-storage, and medical real estate. Jeff received his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Finance from James Madison University. He is also a 2000 graduate of the Virginia Bankers School of Bank Management, where he served as class president. Jeff is also a Civic Leadership Institute and Leadership Hampton Roads graduate. In addition, Jeff previously served nine years as finance chair and treasurer for the Norfolk Collegiate School. In his community, Jeff is a member of the Hampton Roads Association of Commercial Real Estate (HRACRE). "My favorite part of my job is watching a member's project go from the planning stages to fruition, to become an asset for both the member's portfolio and the larger community that the project serves."
