Palm tree-lined Manistee Ranch Park is a local neighborhood park. It houses an old-style mansion that contains farm equipment used on the ranch over the years. The place offers a glimpse into Glendale's history, as well as providing a quiet place to enjoy nature.

Sahuaro Ranch Park

Return to an earlier time when you visit Sahuaro Ranch Park, a lovely historic park built in the 1890s. Seven original buildings set on 16-acres are home to rabbits, chickens and peacocks. Originally a citrus farm founded by William Henry Bartlett, the ranch is now a Glendale City Park. Tour the main house and view exhibits of years past. The park is open to visitors daily.

Glendale

Blessed with fertile land and an adequate water supply, Glendale was first initiated as a farming colony in 1892. It subsequently was incorporated as a municipality by the city of Phoenix in 1910. Also known as Arizona's Antique Capital, it has tons of shops along Glendale Avenue and around the quaint Catlin Court neighborhood. Some of the other attractions include the University of Phoenix Stadium where the NFL's Arizona Cardinals play and it's also home to the Phoenix Coyotes NHL hockey team, who play at the Gila River Arena.
